The gathered sections of the book are sewed (standard with white yarn). Next, the sewed book block is glued in the cover by means of hotmelt.
+
- With flaps equal or a little square at the offcut, this can, for sewed books, be made in binding line. This results in better quality.
- Long life span.
–
- The hotmelt is sensitive to the solvents present in the ink, the glue might soapen. Especially in uncoated types of paper a lot of solvents remain in the paper
- Less flexibility in more paper types, fold-outs and special folding.
