History
Cassochrome was founded in 1973, as a litho printing house specialized in comics as well as artist and carpet reproductions. Soon afterwards, we decided to start our own printing activities.
By 1979, we were able to print dematerialized carpet reproductions thanks to unique software developments created by our specialists. This very process required such comprehensive color management that accurate colour knowledge remains one of our key strengths to this day.
At the start of the 21st century, the local Flemish carpet industry gradually started moving to the eastern part of the world. In response, we started to focus our efforts on art reproduction and in particular the production of art books, considering our unique strength in colour fidelity.
Since 2004, we have been prominent in the contemporary art world in many parts of the world. Contemporary art has been and continues to be a strong passion of Cassochrome’s owner, Bernard Soens.
